New Sonata On The Cards Of Hyundai Motors For 2018
The first generation of Sonata was launched back in 1985 by the Korean car maker Hyundai Motors, the mid-sized car of-course could not succeed in enjoying the expected success, despite of various efforts made by the car maker during these thirty two years of its existence. During these years the seven generations of the car have been launched by the maker followed by facelifts. Now once again the mid-sized sedan is in limelight, as according to recent reports the eighth generation of Sonata is in pipeline of the car maker for 2018.

As far as features and engine specifications of Hyundai Sonata nothing has been so far revealed by the car maker but it is believed to be embellished with some unique and contemporary features that will truly help to make Sonata a big hit. Talking about the engine specifications at the existing generation of Sonata is empowered 2.4 litre four-cylinder engine and mated with six speed manual transmission system. It is available in overall five trims namely GL, 204 Sport, GLS, GLS Tech and 2.0T Sport.

On the exterior front it is reported to be customized with vertical LED DRLs, narrow headlight connected to profile line going back to shoulders and back, followed by sculpted hood giving the Sonata a windswept appearance making it look like some luxurious sedan. The turbo variant is customized with sportier mesh grille, followed by black headlamps, bumper trim, black side mirror casings and few more. At the rear front it is embellished with new tail lights, electronic trunk opener along with beautifully crafted “H” badge representing the Hyundai Logo.

The interior section also undergoes subtle cosmetic updates including huge fleet of functional buttons placed decently, seven inch infotainment system for low trims and eight inch for high trims. Moving ahead it also receives Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard feature offered in all trims. Along with all these features the buyers also have option of new telematics system and BlueLink offered inside the cabin of generation eighth Hyundai Sonata.
