Hyundai to upgrade base variant of Xcent for taxi segment
With an objective to place tough competition against Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Tour in taxi segment Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) the Indian arm of Korean car maker Hyundai Motors is going to upgrade the base variant of its compact sedan Xcent soon in Indian car market. According to reports alike Swift Dzire Tour the cab version of Xcent will also miss some of the regular features like front power windows, cooled glove box, full wheel caps, central locking system and black coloured pillars.

As far as engine configuration is concerned it is reported to continue with same engine configurations of 1.2 litre Kappa VTVT petrol and 1.1 litre U2 diesel engine respectively. The petrol engine will churn the power of 82 bhp and torque of 114 Nm, while the diesel trim will boost the power of 71 bhp and torque of 180 Nm. Both the engines will be mated with five speed manual gear transmission system.

Talking about the price it is speculated that the price of new variant in Xcent would be priced below the existing price of Rs. 5.18 lakh and Rs. 6.01 lakh for petrol and diesel variants because of its specifically developed for cab purpose.
