Hyundai Xcent to land on March 12, 2014
After receiving over whelming response by all segments of car enthusiasts during the Indian Auto Expo 2014, Korean car maker is all set to launch its highly awaited sedan Hyundai Xcent aka grand i10 sedan in Indian car market on March 12, 2014. The sedan is completely built on platform of its elder sibling grand i10 hatchback and therefore carries most of the features adorned in it. Although company has not yet revealed the exact price of Xcent but industry experts believe that it might be offered with price tag in the range of Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 6 lakh.

Technically the upcoming sedan will be offered in both petrol and diesel versions as offered in hatchback grand i10 with petrol variant powered with 1.2 litre petrol engine churning the power of 82 bhp and torque of 114 Nm whereas the diesel variant be equipped with 1.1 diesel engine producing the power of 70 bhp and torque of 160 Nm. Both variants will be mated with five speed manual transmission system followed by an option of four speed automatic transmission system in petrol variant. After launch it is expected that Xcent will be tough contender to existing sedans like Maruti Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze and other in the same segment.
While looking towards exteriors of Xcent at first instance it mostly resembles to its sibling grand i10 with minute difference at the rear portion. The interiors are blessed with rear vents of air conditioner by rear passengers, keyless entry with push button, high defined music system compatible with USB followed by internal storage of 1 GB, rear parking sensors etc. Apart from this the top end models will be offered with dual front airbags, rear parking camera, steering mounted control, automatic climate control etc.
