Jaguar Launches 2016 XF Facelift in Indian car market
British car maker Jaguar has launched the facelift version of its luxurious salon sedan XF in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 49.5 lakh (ex-showroom price, Delhi) for the entry level variant Pure whereas the top end variant Portfolio is offered with price tag of Rs. 61.85 lakh (ex-showroom price, Delhi). The engine option includes both petrol and diesel variants, with former enriched with 2.0 litre I 4 cylinder engine that generates the power of 237 bhp and torque of 340Nm,and later with 2.0 litre Ingenium engine configuration boosting the power of 177 b hp and torque of 430Nm. This is the first car by car maker in Indian car market which is equipped with Ingenium diesel engine. The transmission duty in both engine configurations is controlled by eight speed automatic transmission system and offers rear wheel driving option.
On the exteriors and interiors the 2016 Jaguar XF receives subtle cosmetic updates, however the major noticeable change is its weight which now makes the new XF 195 kgs light weighted than its erstwhile version. This is mainly because of 70% aluminum used in developing the new XF. The front fascia is embellished with adaptive LED headlamps followed by ‘J’ blade DRLs, on the rear it receives F- shaped rounded tail lamps. With 51mm increased wheelbase the new Jaguar XF offers spacious cabin to passengers.
Inside the cabin it adorns 12.3 inch TFT instrument cluster, 10 colour ambient lighting system, four zone automatic climate control, 10.2 inch touch screen infotainment system, InControl Touch and InControl Touch Pro Infotainment systems offered in both base and top end variant, laser Heads Up Display and few more to notice. Besides, all these features the interior is also equipped with Smartphone App which offers smooth functioning of switching on the engine, air conditioners and various other functions.
