Mahindra launches new Scorpio with price tag of Rs. 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom price)
Domestic car maker Mahindra and Mahindra has launched the refreshed version of its highly acclaimed SUV Scorpio in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom price in Mumbai). It is for the first time since 2006 that the car maker has introduced Scorpio with major interesting cosmetic changes. However as far as greasy changes are concerned company will continue the same existing 2.2-litre mHAWK four-cylinder engine producing 120 bhp and torque of 280Nm. The engine has been offered with five speed manual transmission system. It would be interested to know that in models offered with 4WD system can be changed from 2WD to 4WD through a switch placed on the central console.

On the exterior front it receives new chrome grille, projector headlamps, new alloy wheels and fog lamps. The top end variant S10 is embellishes projector lamps with DRLs, new front bumper with fog lamps, chrome grille and LED tail lamps. The standard features offered are chrome bezel on the fenders, black dual tone applique on the rear door and road bumper armour. Inside the cabin it receives with climate control, parking sensors, TPMS and a 6-inch touch screen infotainment system, revised upholstery, dual tone combination of grey and blue, and new instrument cluster. All these features however are offered in top end variant of Scorpio.
The refreshed Scorpio has been offered in five variants namely , S2, S4, S6, S8 and S10. It is reported that in coming days S4 and S6 variants would be also offered with additional safety features. The colors offered in new Scorpio are white, black, silver, red and blue.
