Mahindra Scorpio again leads the race of supremacy
Mahindra Scorpio had dominated the SUV segment in Indian car market since its inception. However its throne was shattered with emergence of new compact SUVs like Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano as an impact of which it sales suffered to some extent. But now again the supremo has managed to get back his position and retain the crown once again in the battle of supremacy.

According to sales reports revealed by company between the period from April to June 2014, the leader recorded the sales of 11,943 units sold as against the sales of Duster which recorded sales of 10,296 units sold during the same period. It would be interested to know that the top position in segment is also enjoyed by its sister concern Mahindra Bolero. The competitive price, improved fuel efficiency and true value of money have the core factors behind the success of Mahindra Scorpio.
Industry players that with facelift Scorpio getting ready for launch by end of this year, the position of Scorpio will further strengthen in Indian car market. But the most interesting factor would be fight between Duster and Scorpio, with French car maker also working on bringing the facelift of its highly acclaimed compact SUV in Indian car market sometimes during this festive season. It would be interested to know that going through the powerful performance of Scorpio it already is being used by various state governments and recently the new Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also asked to add Scorpio in the fleet of vehicles offered for his supporting staff.
