Mahindra Scorpio Automatic discontinued, available only on demand
Domestic car making company M&M has announced that automatic version of its highly selling SUV Scorpio will be now available only on demand of customers willing to buy it. Since its inception in 2002 Scorpio has been one of the highly acclaimed SUVs within the country and played a significant role in strengthening the roots of home grown company in SUV segment. Going through the encouraging response of customers towards this SUV company has offered new variants with enhanced features. Now it is reported that going through the less demand of the automatic version of this SUV company has decided to discontinued the automatic version of Scorpio and will provide the automatic version of Scorpio to the customers only on their demand.

The automatic variant of Scorpio is offered in its top end variant VLX with 2WD and 4WD options priced at Rs. 11.35 lakh and Rs. 12.33 lakh respectively. To enjoy the drive of automatic version of Scorpio customers would be required to get it booked on the payment of Rs. 50,000. Earlier also company had discontinued the production of automatic version of Scorpio in 2012 but then re-started it from March 2013. At present company is outsourcing the automatic transmission system from Bosch.
It Indian customers are concerned that will company provide them the automatic version of Scorpio on demand, then they would be pleased to know that company will do this for them as it has discontinued the automatic version only in Indian car market but has been selling it in International markets like France, Australia, Russia, Latin America and others. It is reported that with this company is also working on bringing the facelift version of Scorpio soon in Indian car market as it has been spotted going through test drives on several occasions.
