Mahindra Scorpio to be used as supportive car in Indian Grand Prix

The deal is official now. Indian automotive giant Mahindra & Mahindra have made a deal with Buddh International Circuit (BIC) to provide 25 units of Mahindra Scorpio as the intervention vehicles for the first ever Indian Grand Prix to be held on October 30, at greater Noida. The company has signed a 5 year contract with BIC to provide vehicles for all the motor sport events. Mahindra & Mahindra will deliver 25 Scorpios (10 VLX and 15 Gateway) for the Indian Grand Prix.

BCI has, in turn, promised to help MAhindra & Mahindra in their off-road rallies such as The Monastery Escape and The Great Escape.

Mr. Vivek NAyer, the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Automotive sector at Mahindra & Mahindra said that they are really happy to be in association with Buddh International Circuit (BIC). He told the press that they haven't made any changes in the SUVs, except some modifications to help them fight fire.

He looked really happy to be a part of the first Indian Grand Prix, and said that history will be created on October 30, when first F1 race takes place in India. Mahindra & Mahindra also own a team at the F1 race. Though, Mr. Nayer is not supporting any Indian participant in the race.

This is another milestone added against Mahindra & Mahindra's name, and it promises to take the company's name to an even bigger heights in the Indian as well as International market.

There has been a great excitement for India's first ever F1 race. The people have been waiting for this since months. And it is expected to be a huge hit.

The organisers of the this event are also in talks to bring Moto GP to India. The speculations have doing rounds for quite some time now. Though, nothing has been finalised yet.
