Mahindra TUV300 enriched with 100PS engine
Domestic car maker Mahindra & Mahindra has enriched its compact SUV TUV300 with new engine option of mHawk 100 engine. The newly introduced engine configuration has been offered in top end variants T8 and T8 AMT. The new engine configuration offered in TUV300 is same as offered in its younger sibling NuvoSport. The Mahindra TUV T8 with 100 PS engine has been offered with price tag of Rs. 8.87 lakh whereas Mahindra TUV T8 (AMT) has been priced Rs. 9.60 lakh both prices are ex-showroom prices in Mumbai.
Addressing the launch of new engine configuration in Mahindra TUV300, Mr. Pravin Shah, Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive (Automotive), M&M Ltd. said, “At Mahindra it has always been our endeavour to incorporate consumer insights and feedback and hence we are happy to introduce the more powerful TUV300 with the mHawk100 engine. According to reports the new engine carries the same 1.5 litre diesel engine which is boosted in other variants of Mahindra TUV300, but now with increased power tune it generates the power of 100 PS at rpm of 3,750 and torque of 240Nm. Both the variants will now be mated with five speed manual and auto SHIFT AMT transmission gearbox. The car maker has not only enriched the power generation efficiency of TUV 300 T8 and T8 AMT but has also enhanced them with some additional features in form of new cushioning for second row seats followed by ISOFIX child seats for providing more safety to child passengers.
