Maruti Alto K10 to be offered with AMT version in 2015
It is reported that as an impact of growing competition in hatchback segment with recent launch of Datsun Go, and Hyundai Eon, country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited is going to boost its highest selling hatchback Alto K10 with various interesting features and will launch it in the beginning of next year. Since its launch Alto had been one of the best selling cars from car maker but during last few months due to increasing competition and changing market scenario company was finding it difficult to cope with the conditions.
The major change which is expected to be offered in re-designed Alto K10 would be introduction of Automated Manual Transmission system which was integrated in the recently launched Celerio and emerged as trendsetter for upcoming hatchbacks immediately after its inception. It is reported that Alto K10 will get major updates inspired from Celerio which will not only make it more appealing but also dynamic and aggressive.
As far as engine configuration is concerned it is speculated that company will continue the same 1 litre petrol engine with displacement capacity of 1000cc developing the power of 68 bhp and torque of 90 Nm. But this time it is anticipated that company will work on improving its fuel consumption efficiency. If MSIL offer Alto K10 with AMT version than going through the success of AMT version offered in Celerio industry experts believe that Alto K10 will make a smashing hit after launch.
