Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 facelift showcased online

Although the facelift version of Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is yet to be launched in Indian car market but its images have landed on a website. According to sources these images were captured during an event held in Chandigarh where the car maker showcased the facelift version of its good selling hatchback. Industry players believe that car maker may launch the facelift hatchback on its rumored date October 21, 2014.

The cosmetic changes that would be introduced in the facelift version would be facial and there would be no changes under the hood. The hatchback would be empowered with existing three cylinder 1.0 litre K10 engine boosting the power of 68 PS and torque of 90Nm. The engine would be mated with five speed manual transmission system. This time it is expected that the car maker may introduce the automated manual transmission system also in the facelift version. This AMT system would be the same as offered in Celerio launched earlier this year. It is also reported that company will also bring the CNG variant in facelift Alto K10. Apart from these two mechanical changes there would be no other change in the facelift version of Alto K10.

The images of facelift Alto K10 appearing on website reveal that it will receive newly developed headlamps, new tail lights and bumpers both front and rear. The facelift Alto K10 looks more aggressive than compared to its erstwhile version.  As far as price of facelift Alto K10 are concerned it is speculated to not record much hike, the price of top end variant is expected to be priced with starting price of Rs. 4 lakh (ex-showroom price).
