Maruti Suzuki Baleno Customized with ISOFIX Mounts
Maruti Suzuki Baleno the premium hatchback by country’s leading car maker Maruti Suzuki India has been upgraded with ISOFIX Child Seat mounts as standard safety feature across all its trims. Prior to this during the month of November this year, the Indo-Japanese auto duo have upgraded their luxurious sedan Ciaz also with the same feature. According to the sources of company soon this feature will be offered in all other vehicles which are manufactured under the flagship of MSIL. The sources also said that this step is taken in accordance to safety standards determined by BNVSAP (Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program).

Talking about the ISOFIX mounts, it is regarded as one of the reliable and authentic seat attachment systems for child travelers offering them complete security in case of any severe crash. There is a metal bar connecter connected to the seat and used for anchoring the child seat and tied up with straps offering complete security to child. The ISOFIX and child seat tether are developed to provide comfort seating experience to the child weighing up-to 33 kg. The list of other safety features offered in Baleno includes headlamp leveling, dual front air bags, front disc brake, anti-lock braking system with EBD, driver seat belt reminder and pretensionar and force limited for front seat belts.

Introduction of ISOFIX mounts as standard feature in new cars by MSIL will pave the way for other car makers to think over the integration of this feature as standard feature in their car also. As earlier this feature was mainly offered in premium cars. Apart from MSIL, Japanese car maker Toyota Motors has also introduced this feature as standard safety feature in its Etios siblings.
