Maruti Suzuki Ritz to be discontinued from May 2015

Couple of week’s back it was reported that country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited is going to introduce its hatchback Ritz in the taxi segment of Indian car market. But now surprisingly within a span of short period a new report has come out revealing that the car maker is speculating to discontinue Ritz from Indian car market to make space of its new hatchback YRA. According to reports company is going to discontinue Ritz by the end of May this year and bring the new hatchback YRA during the first week of May this year.

According to reports after launch the upcoming hatchback YRA will compete with existing hatchback Elitie i20 from HMIL and upcoming refreshed hatchback Jazz from HCIL. The upcoming YRA hatchback would be about 90 kg lighter in weight than compared to Swift hatchback and would be bestowed with features like new touchscreen music system, steering mounted control system, reverse parking system, electrically adjustable OVRMs and engine start-stop button.
