Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza AMT: Launch on the corner
Japanese car maker Suzuki has showcased the AMT version of its first compact SUV Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza with AMT gearbox during the Indonesia Auto Show 2016, along with two more India bound vehicles including 1.5 litre S-Cross crossover and compact crossover Ignis, speculated to launch soon in Indian car market. Although the dates for launching these vehicles is yet to officially confirmed by the car makers.
According to reports from show, the AMT trim of Vitara Brezza showcased during show underpinned the existing 1.3 litre diesel engine with five speed manual gearbox. The same engine configuration apart from Vitara Brezza exists in Swift Dzire by the Indo-Japanese car maker. It is believed that India bound version of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza AMT will be continued with ongoing engine and same exteriors and interiors. The major features speculated to be continued in AMT Vitara Brezza will include piano black central console, projector headlamps, touchsreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Smart Connect.
The India made Vitara Brezza has played an interesting role in strengthening the weakening position of MSIL in Indian car market which had shattered with disappointing performance by crossover S-Cross. It would be interested to know that within the short span of its launch Vitara Brezza replaced Ford EcoSport from its top position of being the best compact SUV being sold in Indian car market. Moreover within the two months after it launch Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza crossed the mark of more than 95,000 bookings. It is believed that AMT Vitara Brezza will succeed in luring more buyers.
