Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza to continue with diesel engine
With Vitara Brezza country’s leading car manufacturer MSIL has made its remarkable debut in compact SUV segment of Indian car market with more than 5000 bookings in two days after is enough to reveal the opening vehicle has succeeded in receiving in India. According to recent reports the Indo-Japanese car maker has confirmed that despite of growing popularity of Suzuki’s Smart Hybrid Vehicle (SHVS) technology which at present is offered in Ciaz sedan and Ertiga MPV, Vitara Brezza will not be empowered with SHVS system and will continue with 1.3 litre MJD diesel engine which is similar to one offered in Ciaz and Ertiga.

It would be interested to know that integration of SHVS technology results in enhancing the fuel efficiency of vehicle in which it is offered and with ARAI certified 24.3 kmpl average Vitara Brezza has already emerged as one of the fuel efficient compact SUVs existing in country. With starting price of Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi) Vitara Brezza is offered in overall four trims namely LDi, VDi, ZDi and ZDi+. All variants are mated with five speed manual gear transmission system.
