Mercedes Benz A-Class Edition 1 launched with price tag of Rs. 26.17 lakh (ex-showroom price)
German luxurious car maker has launched the limited edition codenamed as Edition 1 of its successful hatchback Mercedes Benz A Class in Indian car market with price tag of Rs. 26.16 lakh (ex-showroom price in Mumbai). The Edition 1 has been offered in A180 CDI variant is sports various new features along with facelifts and enhanced ground clearance. According to sources of company only 100 units of this Edition will be delivered in market. It is speculated that company might offer these changes as standard changes next year in form of facelift. The Edition 1 has been launched to celebrate successful existence of hatchback in Indian car market for one year.
Company has continued the existing 2.2 litre diesel engine churning the power of 109 bhp and torque of 250Nm in the Edition 1 and is coated with 7G Tronic automatic gearbox. Inside the cabin the Edition 1 houses electronic seat adjustment, reverse camera, arm rest for rear passengers, 17.8 cm screens for rear passengers, two headphones, a DVD drive and remote control.
Outside the cabin Edition 1 sports increased ground clearance, new alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof, Edition 1 decals marked on the side profile, gloss black garnish on ORVMs. The Edition 1 has been offered in fascinating Jupiter red, cirrus white and polar silver colors.
