Mercedes-Benz concept F125 – the future SLS Class
Mercedes-Benz concept car F125 is being showcased at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show. The F125 is a futuristic machine that works with the help of a hydrogen fuel cell drivetrain that generates more power than the gasoline models being manufactured currently. This concept is being seen as the future of Mercedes-Benz S-Class and next generation Limousines. The company has confirmed the 2013 model of Mercedes-Benz S-Class will feature the styling of this concept.

F-125 is shorter, but has a longer wheelbase than current S-Class, which makes it quite spacious on the inside. The engine generates electricity with hydrogen, which then powers the four electric motors. F125 sports a lightweight aluminium chassis and 23 inch wheels. It goes 0-100 kmph in just 4.2 seconds, which makes it even quicker than the V12 twin turbocharged fitted S600.

The Mercedes-Benz concept F125 has two gull-wing doors on it. However, these doors are not expected to be a part of it when it officially launches in the world market. However, the main drawback of this concept is that storing of hydrogen is not easy. Plus, there are barely any hydrogen filling stations in the world. Though, in the future, it can work wonders, as it is the cleanest technology. Honda is already using it in FCX Clarity. Should this be considered the next revolution in vehicle technology?
