Mercedes Benz M Class launched in India at Rs 56.9 lakh

It is after a series of speculations, spying that Mercedes Benz M Class launch has finally happened today. The price of Mercedes Benz M Class is Rs 56.9 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. However with an AMG kit, one will have to pay Rs 10 lakh more that makes its price INR 66 lakh. Notably, the M Class launch will be boosting the German car maker’s prospects to reinstate itself to the top luxury car selling brand. Also, the launch of new M Class in India will also further its scope to bully Audi Q5 which is its closest rival in the country. Mercedes has launched the M Class in India in New Delhi today.

Mercedes idea of launching a new version of its cars as well as new model cars is expected to click well in India where the luxury car market is expanding at a greater pace. It is here that one will find the lush and plush luxury cars. It is here that Mercedes has witnessed greater demand for its Mercedes Benz AMG class cars. The new M Class has a significant addition to the line up in the form of ML 350 CDI that comes with a 258 PS engine producing a maximum power of 620 Nm. This M Class diesel powered model is believed to set in a new definition for SUVs in India with an acceleration rate of 7.4 seconds. The 3 L engine inside the car is also expected to be highly frugal yet power conscious. The five seater SUV is a little longer, wider but dwarfed version of the new M Class and has a lot of design changes on it including more bold wheel arches besides a new headlight assembly. The car engine is mated to a 7G-Tronic automatic transmission. The car will be imported as a completely built up unit initially and the car maker might think of increasing the localization in future.
