Mercedes-Benz M Class set to rule Indian roads after its Auto Expo launch

One of the oldest foreign luxury carmaker in the country, Mercedes Benz is pumped up to launch the third generation of its premium Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Mercedes Benz M Class at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. The latest version of the SUV that was first unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show flaunts an all-new appearance, as it has gone through many modifications from exteriors to interiors besides engine as well. The 2012 Mercedes Benz M Class will be seen fighting for space with its German rivals Audi Q7 and BMW X5 in the country. The expected price of the daring SUV will fall in the price bracket of INR 55 to 60 Lakh for base variant.

The 2012 premium SUV will now feature new brighter headlamps that are embedded with daytime running LEDs. The ultramodern front grille which holds the famous three-spoke emblem will be in a novel finish combined with a re-sculptured bonnet. At the rear, one will notice revamped taillights along with the fifth-door/tail-gate in new design that has some similarity with the new Mercedes Benz E Class.

A totally refreshed interior are offered with New Mercedes Benz SUV that includes seats with full leather stuffing in addition to splendid looking panoramic roof that takes it far from the competition. The front seats are ventilated along with a modern-day entertainment system that is fitted at the rear seat. This new generation multi-media system is now presented with an updated COMAND feature with internet facility.

The existing M Class in European auto market is available with three engine variants namely the 2.1L 4-cylinder diesel power-train, the 3.0L V6 diesel engine and a mammoth motor of diesel 3.5L V6 engine. Among the three, the 3.0 litre V6 diesel power-train will make way in India that will hold the feature of 4matic all-wheel-drive system.

At the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, the German automobile manufacturer will unveil as many as 10 new vehicles under its banner and some of them are expected to be Mercedes Benz A Class vehicles in concept form, along with Mercedes Benz AMG Roadster and Mercedes Benz SLS GT3.
