Mercedes-Benz S-Class: An exclusive art edition launched
India’s prime art auction house Saffronart and the world’s leading automobile brand name Mercedes-Benz India have united for promotion of the arts in the country. Mercedes-Benz India has unveiled the special edition ‘S-Class Art', as part of a partnership with art auction house Saffronart.
Now coming to the S-Class Art Edition; the luxury sedan is being made solely for Saffronart clients. The production of the car will be limited with just two cars made to memorialize the association between Saffronart and Mercedes-Benz at an exceptional price of INR 1.14 Cr (Ex-Showroom Mumbai).
The creative car was rolled out today in Mumbai as part of a host of other special events taking place in New Delhi as well. Crafted particularly for Saffronart’s annual Autumn Online Auction of Modern & Contemporary Indian Art, the saloon will surely be an attention grabber for every visitor.The Modern and Contemporary art auction will be held online along with other events that took off the proceedings today in Mumbai. The visitors will be allowed to take a glance at the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Art Edition available at the venues.
The luxury saloon feature comprises of hand-stitched leather, two-tone beige and black trim with wooden inserts in the interiors, special black paint scheme and alloys adds to the distinctiveness of the car. Based on the standard S500 the S-Class Art Edition is powered by a mammoth 5.5litre V8 engine which is capable enough to generate power of 369 bhp and 505 Nm of torque. The top speed of this artistic saloon is 250 kph and it can pick up the pace to 100 kph in just 5.4 sec. For the entertainment intention the car has an MP3 CD player with DVD is standard as the 8-inch screen, with personal headphones attached to it.
