Mercedes Benz S class launched with price tag of Rs. 1.53 crore (ex-showroom price)

German luxurious car maker Mercedes Benz has today launched the all new S-Class S500 2014 in Indian car market with price tag of Rs. 1.57 crore (ex-showroom price in New Delhi).  The company had unveiled the same model during an event held in Germany during May 2013. The new S500 model in Indian car market which is based on company’s W222 platform. Talking about the cosmetic changes that have been introduced in the facelift S500 it would not be wrong to say that company has introduced all new features in this facelift keeping the existing market conditions in concern. The front fascia has been blessed with newly designed grille, new bumpers, full LED headlight followed by LED fog lamps. The side profile has been given aerodynamic looks along with body lines which touch the arched roofline on rear side.
 
 
The facelift saloon sedan is empowered with 4.7 litre bi-turbo V8 engine developing the power of 460 bhp and torque of 700 Nm synchronized to 7G-Tronic plus box. It is reported that company will launch the next model S350 CDI of the same series based on W222 platform in the coming months. Other features mounted in new S class include high defined Burmester music system, heated and adjustable rear seats, armrests, specialized air balance package for filtering air intake in cabin.

Other impressive features which have been introduced in new Mercedes Benz S Class includes elimination of existing instrument cluster and integration of 12 in TFT display, two spoke wooden steering wheel, Mercedes COMAN infotainment system with inbuilt hark disk of 250 GB. One more remarkable feature which has been introduced in this sedan includes Wi-Fi for internet access, according to availability during travel. Besides all these latest features company has also paid proper attention towards integration of safety measures and now this sedan is blessed with night view assist, eight airbags, adaptive brake with hold and ASR, and dynamic cornering control system. In simple words it can be said that the new S Class is all set to offer tough competition to its contenders BMW 7 series and Audi A8.
