Mercedes Benz S Class variant to launch soon
Mercedes Benz is trying everything that can help it get back to the top. It is launching a heep of new cars in order to attract buyers in India. The Mercedes Benz S Class is being assembled in India, which should help it being cheaper than BMW 7 series and Audi A8 sedans.
This can make Mercedes Benz S Class lead the luxury car segment in the country. Mercedes-Benz has launched its entry level variant call Mercedes Benz S300 L. This variant will be priced under Rs. 80 Lacs, which will be the least among other luxury saloons in India.

The new Mercedes Benz S300 L will be powered by a 3.0 Litre engine with power of 228 bhp. This will be lesser than the S500 L. The S500 L will see a newer version which will be powered by 4.7 Litre engine, instead of a 5.5 Litre engine. However, the power it will be able to produce will go up from 369 bhp to 429 bhp. The further good news is that the fuel economy will improve by 22 percent. The new Mercedes S500 L will get to the 100 kmph mark in just 5 seconds.

Mercedes Benz has not yet officially confirmed these changes. The prices are also not confirmed yet. Even the dealers are not sure about the prices these cars will be launched at. But Mercedes-Benz should soon come up with all the details of these new cars.
Mercedes Benz was dethroned from its top position of the largest luxury car maker of India by BMW in 2009. Since then Mercedes-Benz has been struggling to get back to its original position. The company has stated that it plans to reach back to the top position by the year 2015.
