Mercedes Benz starts local assembling of S-Class parts
Mercedes Benz India, the Indian arm of luxurious German car maker Mercedes Benz has started assembling the parts of W222-S Class locally at its production plant located at Chakan, Pune. As an impact of this strategy the price of S500 has slashed down about Rs. 26,000 as compared to its launch price of Rs. 1.62 crore (ex-showroom price), and now it is priced Rs. 1.36 crore (ex-showroom price in Mumbai). Apart from this company has also initiated a Chauffeur Training Programe for Chauffeurs who will train the driving skills of customers and let them know about the features offered in S Class.

It would be interested to know that Chauffeur Training Program of 21 modules designed for Chauffeurs of S-Class throughout the India. Undergoing through this training program the Chauffeurs are trained to drive the S-Class saloon easily without any discomfort and make use of all luxurious features offered in the saloon. In the words of Mr. Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, it company’s regular initiative for getting engaged with customers and achieve excellence in all segments of their business.
It would be interested to learn that despite of being costly saloon sedan there is regular demand of S-Class in Indian car market and now with decrease in price it will gain more popularity among specific segment of customers.
