Mercedes Benz to launch “Edition E” to say final good-bye to E- Class
German luxurious car maker Mercedes Benz has said that to commemorate an honorable farewell for its luxurious sedan E Class from Indian car market it will bring its special edition named as “Edition E” on February 24, 2016 before launching its next generation sometimes during this year. According to reports the “Edition E” version will be customized with special badges on both front and rear portions. Apart from this it will also adorn AMG pattern on the exterior portion followed by single plated front grille and also spoke alloy wheels similar to E350 CDI trim. It is reported that car maker may also update the interiors with bunch of contemporary features to make a perfect match with exteriors.
As far as power train is concerned it will be boosted with 2143cc 4 cylinder turbo charged diesel engine boosting the power of 201PS and torque of 500Nm. This engine is same as offered in E250 CDI. The engine is mated with 7G-Tronic Plus 7-speed automatic transmission system. With all these features Edition E will continue the legacy of ECO Start/Stop fuel saving feature as offered in other vehicles manufactured by car maker.
