New Mercedes Benz E Class launched in India
Mercedes Benz India launched the 2014 E Class in country today. The new Mercedes Benz E Class has been offered in two engine options and three variants- E200 CGI, E250 CDI and E250 CDI Limited Edition. Within a month it is the second new launch in India by the German auto giant. The company has also recently launched the Mercedes Benz A Class hatchback. In terms of pricing the new E Class price is costlier than the outgoing version.

The E200 CGI petrol variant is priced at Rs 41.5 lakh while the E250 CDI Avantgarde which is the base variant of diesel model comes at Rs 44.50 lakh. The E250 CDI Limited Edition which is high-end variant of diesel trim has been offered at Rs 49.9 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). It is reported that there are only 100 units of the limited edition E Class on sale. The E Class is one of the hot selling luxury sedan cars in India and the new version comes with refreshed design, more luxurious interiors and innovative features.

India launched next generation version of the E Class luxury sedan car is fully based on the philosophy of A Class hatchback. Interior of the vehicle has been made impressive and comfortable than outgoing model. It comes equipped with LED headlamps, reverse Eco start-stop, parking assist with camera, COMMAND system with navigation and so on. Its petrol model has a 2.0L petrol engine under the hood that makes 181bhp of power and 300Nm of torque. It can is capable to achieve the speed mark of 0-100kmph in just 7.9 seconds. On the other hand, diesel E Class is powered by a 2.2L diesel engine that makes peak power of 201bhp along with top torque of 500Nm. Its acceleration and pick-up are also tremendous such as it can catch the speed of 0-100kmph in just 7.5 seconds.
