Mercedes Benz to launch facelift S Class saloon on January 8, 2014

German luxurious car maker Mercedes Benz is all set to launch the facelift of its highly appreciated saloon sedan Mercedes Benz S Class in Indian car market on January 8, 2014. The facelift S Class was showcased during a function held in Germany this year and at present it is being sold in European and American car market. The major upgrades which have been introduced in Mercedes Benz S Class 2014 have been on interiors and exteriors. As far as mechanical changes are concerned nothing has been so far revealed by company which means it will continue the same engine configuration which prevails in existing models of S Class.
 
 
 
According to reports German car maker will launch S500 variant of Mercedes Benz S Class in Indian car market which will be brought through CBU route. It will be packed with 4.7 litre bi-turbo V8 engine producing the power of 460 bhp and torque of 700 Nm.  The power to wheels will be transmitted through 7G Tronic plus box. Reports reveal that in beginning only 125 units of car will be released for sale. It has been also reported that company has started the booking of S Class on the payment of Rs. 25 lakh.

It is also reported that after launching the S500 variant in market company will launch S350 CDI variant in market which has been equipped with 3.0 litre V6 turbo diesel engine which is capable of producing power of 258 bhp and torque of 620 Nm, this variant will be also equipped with 7G-Tronic plus gearbox.
