Mercedes Benz to launch GLE 450 AMG in India on January 12, 2016
After launching “15 in 15” series successfully in Indian car market during 2015, German car maker Mercedes Benz is going to began its inning for 2016 from January 12, 2016 by launching GLE 450 AMG Coupe in Mumbai. The GLE 450 AMG is coupe variant of GLE SUV launched earlier in 2015. And therefore carries most of its cues from GLE SUV. Moving ahead from B pillar the vehicle takes the shape of a slope giving it a coupe shape. According to company sources the coupe is perfect match of SUV and a sports car.
The coupe will be energized with 2996cc V6 twin turbo petrol engine that will churn the power of 362 bhp and torque of 520 Nm, it will be coated with 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission system. It will be offered with 4 MATCI all wheel drive option. The engine has an efficiency of touching the mark of 100 kmph in the span of 5.7 seconds and top notch of 250 kmph. To make it look similar to coupe the grille at front fascia has been developed single plated grille, the black colored ORVM’s integrate turn indicators. The bumper at front portion is developed with new enlarged air intakes followed by rear bumper developed with double exhausts.
According to reports German car maker is expecting 2016 to be more beneficial than 2015 in terms of sale. This year company succeeded in taking over its strong contenders like BMW and Audi by selling out 10,000 units till October 2015.
