New BMW X1 facelift is in
The much awaited BMW X1 facelift is finally uncovered. The smallest of the three – BMW X3, BMW X5 and BMW X6 is finally in a new styling X-line and Sport-line. The German car maker has also worked under the hood in giving the engine a fresh power touch. The new BMW X1 will now be launched officially in America. Here in India, the new BMW X1 may take some more time to step in.

The facelift of the BMW X1 is far more apparent than concealed. The air intake gets a third compartment. While the fog lamps gets a new position. The headlamps have chrome accents along with LED daytime running lights. At the rear as well the BMW X1 has some style changes to the indicators and the rear styling. On the inside the new BMW X1 X Line has a revamped central console and a little more chrome work too inside. The engine department has five diesel and three petrol options. The BMW X1 sDrive 18i that outputs 150 hp and a peak torque of 200 Nm. the top model in the series is xDrive 28i that has an acceleration of 6.1 seconds following the 245 hp and 350 Nm engine.

The diesel offerings are sDrive 16d with 116 hp power and xDrive 25d with 218 hp the sDrive20d EfficientDynamics that promises 163 hp is the most efficient trim that is available in manual transmission only option. All BMW X1 models come with six speed manual with an option of six speed automatic transmission available for some models. The x Line BMW X1 has lots of design updates on the outside as well as interiors. The Sport Line BMW X1 also has new grille on the outside besides new alloys, and BMW Sport strips. The seats on the inside are anthracite fabric based with an option of leather sports seats in two tones.
