New BMW X1 launch confirmed

This Valentine Day, the most loved car maker will be BMW. Reason lots of BMW car fans will be watching out the new BMW X1 launch on this day. As per the official information, BMW will be launching the facelift version of X1 SUV on February 14. This is one of the major launches that the German car maker has scheduled this year and post this launch, there are more surprises coming that will further the car maker’s hold over the luxury market. Notably, the X1 is the best selling SUV by BMW and a makeover of it means that BMW has lot of responsibility on its shoulders. Official price of BMW X1 will be declared on the launch day but initial speculation suggests that there will be an addition of some thousand rupees to the new version.

The striking revelation came after BMW India updated its status on Facebook fan page. It wrote “THE NEW BMW X1. COMING SOON…”. Though a little late launch in India; the X1 launch is one of the most prominent launches by the luxury car giant. Meanwhile, refreshing X1 will also help it boost the prospects in countering the rising popularity of Audi Q3 and Audi Q5. It is believed that since the launch of Audi Q3 SUV which is the smallest of the three, there was an impact on X1 car sales. The new X1 is believed to counter that and recoup the sales loss that it had due to the coming of Q3 in the segment.  

Also, the X1 launch will be able to strengthen the position of the car brand in India and it will help it gain some increasingly better numbers on the sales chart in comparison to Audi that has exceeded the 9K unit sales mark in 2012 and is spearheading to conquer the top slot in the luxury car segment in the country.
