New BMW X1 launched in Indonesia, India launch countdown begins
The best selling SUV BMW X1 by the top luxury car maker BMW in India has received the facelift. Unfortunately, it is not in India first but in Indonesia. The new X1 has been launched in Indonesia and soon the crossover will be launched in India as well. The 2013 version of the X1 has received the much awaited design changes apart from styling changes that has made this car one of the most sought after ones. This car has been a grand success but recently this car has received stiff competition from Mitsubishi Pajero, Toyota Fortuner and other cars such as Chevrolet Captiva.
The style changes are restricted to the exteriors and the interiors are based on customer feedback as well as the need to make it a new car. As part of the style changes, the car maker has given the front a new look apart from other stylistic changes. The grille as well as the front appearance has got the changes more compared to other areas of the car. On the inside, the car’s console as well the dash has seen some changes that the car buyers were hoping. The new feature addition is the start stop function.
Other features that will make this car more appealing than Fortuner, Captiva or others is the brake energy regeneration technique besides increased mileage and fuel efficiency besides better energy utilization. The new X1 will be able to give BMW a better footing and once it is launched in India, it will help it better hold over the market as Audi cars are fast acceding and threatening to dethrone it from the top position in the luxury car segment. The Audi Q3 though priced a little higher than X1 is getting better response while other rivals in the segment are also getting a good hold over the segment.
