New BMW X1 to arrive soon, whole line up on offer
This July, the new BMW X1 will be up for sale in UK at an attractive price tag starting at £24,660. The new 2013 X1 is the smallest of the three SUV biggies viz. BMW X3, BMW X5 and BMW X6. The base model BMW X1 sDrive 18d will be the entry level trim while the high end trim BMW X1 xDrive 25d will be keeping abreast with the typical power and comfort that the other X Series SUV by BMW offer. The X1 xDrive 25 d will be priced at £ 31,860.

Meanwhile, back in India, the smallest of the series SUV is creating much abuzz as the German car maker is offering it at an attractive EMI of Rs 15,999. At this EMI, the X1 is both worth buying and a nice pick among the SUVs. In India and worldwide, the X1 competes with Audi Q3. In UK, the 25d model will have a 2 L four cylinder diesel engine under the hood that will output around 215 hp of power and as high as 450 Nm of torque. With a 215 hp engine in, the BMW X1 will have a top speed of 142 mph and will accelerate to 100 kmph in just 6.8 seconds which is quite impressive for this SUV.

In the lineup, the sDrive 20d will be the most affordable and the most attractive model that will be equipped with BMW EfficientDynamics. Powered by a 2.1L engine, the 20d will output 161 hp and will return a mileage of 62.8 miles per gallon with very low tailpipe emissions. This model will be rear wheel driven one and will have a manual gearbox compared to automatic transmission and all wheel drive in other trims. Notably, being the smallest in the series, the BMW X1 hold the advantage to be low priced as well as most attractive in terms of features derived from its seniors. In India as well, BMW X1 sales are quite decent and BMW has presented the entire line up upto the BMW X6 car.
