New cars in India: Diesel and UV cars dominated the year 2012
It’s time to bid good-bye to 2012, but not before going through the ten latest cars that were launched in the Indian car bazaar. The bazaar got all you could ask for, from hatchbacks, SUVs to MPVs and more. The most interesting thing there was the prices of these cars. Keeping the pocket of Indian consumers in mind, the car makers made sure that they price their products smartly and practically.
Mini Cooper
On 5th April, BMW brought Mini Cooper range to India, which comprised of four models, including BMW Mini Cooper, Mini Cooper convertible, Mini Cooper S and Mini Cooper Countryman. These cars were launched with starting price of Rs. 24.9 lakh. The engine options here comprise of 1.6 litre petrol with power outputs of 122BHP and 184 BHP.

Maruti Ertiga MPV
12th April was the ‘D Day’ for Maruti as it launched its first MPV, Maruti Ertiga. It was launched with a decent price tag of Rs. 5.89 lakh.
