New Chevrolet Cruze to launch on 27th June 2012
The long awaited announcement is now out, as General Motors (GM) decides to unleash the upgraded version of bold sedan Chevrolet Cruze. As per invitation received, the launch in India will be done in two stages, with first one taking place in Delhi on 27 June 2012, followed by Mumbai on 29 June 2012. Formerly, the New Chevrolet Cruze was displayed at Geneva Motor Show this year and since then it anticipates its India launch. In fresh version major focus is provided under hood, which is now a bit more powerful than predecessor, besides being fuel efficient too. With this launch, the D-segment is sure to jolt with anguish beginning among Skoda Laura, Renault Fluence and Volkswagen Jetta.

The improved and more refined power train of New Chevrolet Cruze will be of 1998cc, while existing is of 1991cc. This engine roars maximum power of 164 bhp along with top-notch torque of 360 Nm, which is terrific against the available lot in the segment. The Indian consumers can either choose the presented 6-speed manual gearbox model, or else the advanced 6-speed Automatic Transmission (AT).

The manly sedan will be able to deliver a city mileage of nearly 11 kmpl, the current variant gives out 9.8 kmpl. Moreover on the long highway journeys the New Chevrolet Cruze will mark 15 kmpl to 16 kmpl of efficiency, as of now it’s under 15.5 kmpl.

The New Chevrolet Cruze will see some rare amends in the exteriors and interiors, as GM plans to introduce a full-fledged 2013 model by early next year. The outer surface will hold the new design language of the company. Furthermore, the prices are expected to see no change.
