New Fiat Linea launched, priced at Rs 6.83 lakh
The scintillating sedan Fiat Linea that is serving car enthusiasts since last couple of years is now launched in an all-new ‘feature-packed’ version of 2012. The New Fiat Linea will now cost Rs. 6.83 Lakh and Rs 7.84 Lakh respectively for petrol and diesel base variants. Both the prices are ex-showroom Delhi. The New Fiat Linea boasts more than ten new elements under its kitty from new auto on/off headlights and bigger alloy wheels to rain sensing wipers and a selected ‘Blue’ shade in the exteriors along with new beige interiors and better air-conditioner combined by power windows with delay operation feature. The sedan will surely make road tough ahead for to be launched new Maruti Swift Dzire, Volkswagen Vento, Nissan Sunny and Hyundai Verna Fluidic.

In the exteriors the changes are not visible though, but yet are able enough to grab the attention of onlookers around especially the ‘new oceanic Blue shade’, as in the front there are new auto on/off headlamps along with new design alloys in all variants and huge 16-inch wheels will be seen in top-end variant of diesel models.
The interiors are filled with many amends and new entrants, first of all earlier cooling system wasn’t up to the marks, and it has been replaced by better quality air-conditioner. There will be new leather upholstery in top-end diesel variants together with new light colored twin-tone of beige and integrated audio system will be kept standard in all variants of New Linea.

A new instrument panel with chrome inserts along with fresh door trims and new floor carpets are presented. There will also be the automatic climate control system and better NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) for diesel models. The sedan will possess some class leading safety elements in the form of Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) along with air-bags.
The 2012 Linea is offered with three 1.3L diesel engine variants along with two 1.4L petrol variants. The diesel powered Active; Dynamic and Emotion trims are priced at INR 7.84 Lakh, INR 8.84 Lakh and INR 9.10 Lakh. However, the Active trim of petrol comes at INR 6.84 Lakh, while the Dynamic is available at INR 7.81 Lakh.

The Italy based auto giant’s product was rated as ‘Best sedan in its class’ by industry experts has now got the face-lift of the year. The sedan is available with a 1.3L Multijet diesel power-train and 1.4L petrol engine. A sheer power of around 93 bhp at 4000 rpm along with 209 Nm of outmost torque at 2000 rpm can be produced by the 1248cc Multijet diesel engine. The petrol engine with a displacement of 1368cc churns out maximum output of nearly 90bhp at 4000 rpm with maximum torque of 115 Nm at 4500 rpm.
