New Ford Fiesta AT may get double clutch gear-box; November launch expected

Ford Motors had launched their all new refreshed Fiesta in the month of July this year. The sedan was offered with a manual gearbox and since then the speculations were trending that in future the sedan may get an automatic gear-box fitted to it.

Hence, the time is not far away when the consumer will be presented with an automatic edition of sedan Ford Fiesta. It is expected that a new variant of Ford Fiesta automatic outfitted with a six speed double clutch power-shift gear-box is about to strengthen Ford’s lineup.

As per the industry experts, if the same is made available by the company, then it will be a revolutionary stride forward as Ford Fiesta will be the only car in its unique segment to wear a gear-box with twin clutch.

Such component is only available with D segment sedans for instance Volkswagen Jetta and Skoda Laura, while new Ford Fiesta falls in the C segment.

In spite being a C segment vehicle the car offers cream features of above division like voice command car entertainment interface, pull-drift adjusting electric power steering along with cruise control.

If Ford executes the projected offering then the estimated price of new Fiesta automatic or AT will be around INR 11 Lakhs; a difference of around INR 30 to 50 Thousand against the current car price.

With the new Ford Fiesta AT; expected to launch in November, one will experience the quick gear shifting and excellent response along with decent fuel economy. It is also anticipated that new Fiesta AT will be available with diesel and petrol versions.
