New Ford Fiesta launched in UK

The new Ford Fiesta has been launched on the UK shores with 6 in-line options. It has also got the 1.0 Litre 80 PS Ecoboost engine trim available that is anticipated to be launched in India, next year. Besides this, there is also a 1.5 litre PS diesel engine trim available that was introduced in India last year in the Fiesta. Moreover, the company has continued the line up with the old 1.6 litre 95 PS diesel engine.

Other than these diesel engines, the 1.6 Litre 105 PS Ti-VCT petrol engine is also there that is listed below the Figo-era 1.25 Litre 60 PS petrol engine. The company is claiming that they have developed fresh chassis and suspension after detecting scope of improvement in the previous variants of this car. In addition, changes have also been made in the electronic power steering.

To give more facilitation to the UK buyers, the company has introduced the new ‘SYNC’ feature that connects the passengers to the local emergency services operators in case of an accident. Added to this, Ford has installed the new Fiesta with the ‘Active City Shop’ technology that automatically stops the vehicle by applying the brakes in case of emergency, thereby avoiding collisions at low speed. Furthermore, the vehicle is also loaded with the rear parking sensor and power folding mirror features.

The top end variants of the revamped Fiesta will carry LED headlamps feature. The company also states that they have they have made slight changes in the switch gear and have also modified the interfaces and displays. Moreover, inside the cabin new materials have been used to give additional grace.

This all new Fiesta will be available in UK from beginning of 2013 between the price range of 9795 Pounds to 17545 pounds (i.e. between Rs. 8.47 Lakh to Rs. 15.17 Lakh).
