New Ford Fiesta to have 1L Ecoboost engine

The new 2014 model of the Ford Fiesta will be available with 1 litre Ecoboost engine option and this report has stunned some of the hybrid cars as well. The reason is that this car will have more than 40 mpg of mileage which is very high for a non hybrid car. It is believed that the Fiesta hatchback will have the smallest engine ever but this engine that has also bagged many awards for its performance and mileage will not leave the car under powered. It is also said that the new model of the Fiesta hatch which is soon to be launched in US will have this engine and this could make the car more worth than buying.

Termed as a masterpiece of creativity and an engine that challenges all limits of power delivery with so much fuel efficiency hand in hand, the Eco Boost engine will really make the Fiesta more likeable than Hyundai i10 and Volkswagen Up small cars in US. Seeing its high mileage delivery and a power of 123 hp, the engine is being termed as a masterpiece of engineering. The engine will be displayed at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show that kicks off on November 30 and it is here that the 2014 Ford Fiesta will be launched. Some reports suggested that the engine is so small that it can be put in a carry on suitcase as well. Reports also said that Ford packed it in a suitcase in order to carry it to Los Angeles.

Notably, the Ford EcoSport SUV in Brazil is powered by this engine and it is one of the best performing cars. Ford will also be launching the Ecosport with the same configuration in India as well. The Ecosport launch in the country is expected sometime next year. As per the sources, Ford wished to install the EcoBoost engine in over 1 5 lakh cars by 2013 and this will add to the already sold 5.2 lakh engines globally.
