New Maruti cars in India; Five new cars by the end of 2012

More good news is coming from India’s most reliable and oldest auto maker, Maruti Suzuki India. After springing surprise by launching five cars in the first half of 2012, Maruti is not readies itself to launch five more new cars in India in 2012. The dark clouds hovering over the auto major finally passed and the company gradually saw the silver lining with its first positive sales figure in 2012 after a dull year in 2011. Amongst the new cars launched, new Maruti Swift Dzire and Maruti Ertiga were the two major launches. Apart from this, Maruti SX4 Celebration, Maruti Swift Dzire Tour and Maruti Swift Alpha were launched in the domestic market without any hullabaloo.

Coming down to the five new cars to be launched in India, the Maruti XA Alpha SUV concept is the only new product that will be releasing in the arena to lock horns with forthcoming SUVs in India, Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport. Maruti XA Alpha SUV is anticipated to be launched during the festival of lights. Speculations are rife that the SUV will be priced competitively and looking at the Ertiga’s price, it would not be wrong to say that the SUV would be a low cost one with a meagre price tag.

Another car from Maruti clan that is being revamped is the Maruti Ritz hatchback. This would be like adding fuel to the fire, Alto as it is the highest selling car in the A segment and a diesel mill will make in invincible. On the other hand the sales of Wagon R will also get a push with diesel mill. If this is materialised, there will be no looking back for Maruti in the domestic market.
