New Toyota Camry at Auto Expo
The true attention-grabber is here! The all-new 2012 Toyota Camry is uncovered at Delhi Auto Expo by one of the largest automaker across the globe- Toyota Motors. The premium sedan of the country that earlier had a V-shaped grille and curvy headlamps at the frontage, are now molded into auto-leveling HID headlamps with a novel straight-forward futuristic design. The plush interior gets incorporated with modern gadgets along with a touch-screen media interface combined with exceptional 6-way electrically adjustable seats for driver and occupants too. New Toyota Camry competes with Skoda Superb and Volkswagen Passat in India. The sedan is expected to see a late 2012 launch in the country with an estimated price of nearly INR 23 Lakh for base variant.

The face-lifted sedan comes with standard 17-inch alloy wheels in the 2.5L four cylinder twin VVT-i petrol power-train. The exterior gets new body bumpers in addition to rear tail lights that are now with LED lighting, though the fascia resembles a bit of Honda Accord but with redesigned grille the hood looks bigger. In the inside a new fabric shade with perforated leather trim is used along with Smart Entry & Start System from Toyota. A new auxiliary input jack is incorporated in the centre console for MP3 player or iPod. A new dual-zone automatic cooling system and steering-wheel mounted media-player controls combined with enhanced cruise control function.

The displacement of 2500cc New Toyota Camry generates peak power of 178.5 bhp at 6000 rpm and 224 Nm of peak torque at 4100 rpm. The engine is coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission. Earlier, at the Auto Expo Toyota has launched face-lifted Toyota Innova MPV and Toyota Fortuner SUV. It also unveiled a new version of hybrid vehicle Toyota Prius in India.
