New Toyota Camry launch on Aug 24

The Toyota car Camry has reached a pedestal where it is among the best luxury sedans. Now the new version of Toyota Camry is launching on the coming August 24. This is the latest update regarding the Toyota car that has set itself in the Rs 20 lakh to Rs 22 lakh segment in India that has recently become hot and hotter and that has been the sole domain of Honda Accord and Skoda Superb. It is believed that the new Camry will be refreshing the product and will bring in new energy in the product line up and resultantly there will be lots of sales as well.

As per the official information available, the new Camry Toyota car will be launched in New Delhi on the August 24. TKM Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh has told media that similar to the present product, the new Camry will be imported and then assembled at the company’s plant situated at Bangalore. This is going to help bring down the cost and thus it is believed that despite of a new model, the Camry price could see a slash. Singh also told reporters that the Bangalore plant is all set to produce the car that has been one of the best premium sedans in India. However, he did not reveal any specifications or details regarding the new Toyota car.

The Camry is currently brought to India as completely built unit and this attracts huge taxes and duties and a local assembling will be bringing the price down. The Bangalore plant will also producing the engine and transmission for the Toyota Etios and Toyota Etios Liva. The step up of capacity at the Bangalore plant to the tune of Rs 500 crore is in line with the high demand for the Etios sedan and the Liva hatchback in India.
