New Toyota Corolla India launch soon

In the beginning of the year, Toyota held a secret unveiling of the new Toyota Corolla in Japan.  As per the speculations, new Corolla will be a global model just like Toyota Camry premium saloon. Revamped Corolla is expected to be launched in Japan by next year and then it could be launched in other markets across the globe in the second half of 2013. As far as the Indian auto market is concerned, sedans like Ford Focus and reworked Skoda Octavia will be inducted here in the coming two years.

These saloons from Ford and Skoda can pose a threat to new Toyota Corolla. Toyota Corolla is a highly popular model in India and therefore the company might want to expedite the launch of next gen Corolla in India.

The 11th generation Toyota Corolla has been codenamed A140, which is going to be way too different from the present generation saloon. Major changes are expected to be in the design of the sedan, which is going to be completely different from the previous generations of the sedan. The tail lamps will extend to the trunk lid, just like Toyota Camry.

However, the dimension of the new Toyota Corolla will remain same; the length of the car will be approximately 4.5m and will capacious enough to offer ample space. The sedan will continue to come equipped with the same line of engines and gearboxes, though a little change might be made in the line of engines.
