New Volkswagen Polo displayed today
The Europe’s largest vehicle maker Volkswagen uncovered new Polo BlueGT hatchback at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. The company claims that the new age Volkswagen Polo BlueGT model carries a superb combination of high fuel efficiency and superior performance. It is to be mentioned here that the Polo we are talking about is quite different from the Polo hatchback available in the Indian market. The car will be rolled-out in the overseas markets by July this year. The new Polo BlueGT model will be positioned in portfolio between the Polo 1.2 TSI and Polo GTI.

The Volkswagen Polo BlueGT is the first ever vehicle in which the active cylinder management system has been used. The cylinder deactivation system is also known as the cylinder deactivation system. The car is powered by a 1.4L TSI engine which is capable of delivering a peak power of 140 PS along with a considerable fuel economy of 4.7l/100km. The CO2 emission level of the model has also been decreased to mere 108g/km. Moreover, the new Polo BlueGT is also available with an optional 7 speed duel clutch DSG gearbox that further decreases the overall consumptions of the car to 4.5l/100 km.
Blessed with a highly fuel efficient and power packed engine, Polo BlueGT takes just 7.9 seconds to break the speed barrier of 100 km per hour, and has a maximum speed of 210 km per hour. The technological features like the cylinder deactivation system, reduced engine displacement with charging and direct injection, and blue motion technology make possible the rare coexistence of extreme fuel efficiency and dynamic performance for the car. The new age Bluemotion technology of Volkswagen includes advance systems like Start / Stop and battery regeneration.
