Nissan Confirms the Launch of X-Trail Hybrid in 2017

X-Trail has been one of the best selling SUV by Japanese car maker in Nissan in Indian car market. Now, according to recent industry reports it is rumored that car maker is going to bring its Hybrid version that was showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2016 sometimes during the month of April next year. This was confirmed by Mr. Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motors India during the inaugural ceremony of company’s one more dealership in Bengaluru. Reports also reveal that the prototype of same has been spied by car enthusiasts being tested on roads in recent times. Going through this it is speculated that the rumors regarding launch of Hybrid X-Trail is really in pipe-line of company for recent launch.

Under bonnet the Indian bound version of Nissan X-Trail will be equipped with 2.0 litre MR20 DD petrol engine coupled with an electric motor with both jointly boosting the power of 179 bhp and mated with XTronic CVT transmission system. It is speculated to be price in the range of Rs. 30 lakh to Rs. 40 lakh. Physically it measures the length of 4,640 mm, width of 1,820mm and height of 1,715mm followed by wheelbase of 2,750mm. As far as cosmetic updates are concerned nothing has been so far revealed by company, but it is believed that inside cabin you will the combination of spacious cabin along with high quality leather seats.

The Nissan X-Trail Hybrid will be developed on Common Modular Family (CMF) platform developed in collaboration with French car maker Renault. India will be the fourth country of Japan, Thailand and Indonesia where hybrid version of X-Trail will be launched by Japanese car maker. In India it will be imported to completely built units (CBU).
