Renault Koleos based MPV in the making, to have off roading feature like Tata Aria
Renault the French auto maker has no doubt given some of the best back-to-back offerings viz. Renault Fluence, Renault Koleos and recently Renault Pulse small car. As per the buzz about Renault Koleos, the French auto biggie is said to be working on making an offering like that of Tata Aria, an MPV with off roading capabilities. When Renault launched the Koleos SUV in India, everybody in the auto industry expected it to be the true French SUV in India and the SUV got good response in India. However, Renault must learn from Tata Aria and should not price the Koleos MPV SUV crossover to be exorbitantly priced.

Tata Aria type Renault Koleos is expected to get the MPV traits with serious SUV features. It is said that the French car maker is bringing in such a crossover in the light of demand for such cars in India. In India people prefer a large car with enough seating for eight people and if needed it can also tackle a little tough terrain. Since India is not a country of plains only and it has every terrain be it hills, plateau or desert as in Rajasthan. More so the Renault Koleos will be built to do what Mahindra Jeep did but in a more refined and sophisticated manner.

The concept of such a Koleos MPV was showcased at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show and it was named as R-concept. It looked more like a short heighted Ford B Max. The concept shown by Renault also does not have a B pillar like that of the B Max MPV. Contrary to the B Max, the Renault R Concept has suicide door at the rear. The Renault MPV is expected to make a debut somewhere two or three years from now and it is expected to have India as its prime market besides Europe and China.
