Renault Pulse Petrol launched at Rs 4.25 lakh

Sensing the imminent rise in diesel prices and following an attempt to put an entry level model, Renault India has launched the Renault Pulse Petrol at a price tag of Rs 4.25 lakh. Notably, the French car maker had launched the only diesel model of Pulse hatchback at a price of Rs 5.99 lakh. Now that the Pulse is available in petrol and diesel options, it is believed that the Nissan Micra clone could trigger sales. Interestingly, the Renault Pulse petrol launch has been a silent launch in India.

However, it was all slated to happen, but how sooner was unclear. But Pulse Petrol launch has made it sure that a small car cannot sustain with only diesel variant and a low priced entry level petrol variant is a must. Auto critics are also of the opinion that a price tag of Rs 4.25 lakh still sounds costly for such a small car and a more decent price tag could have done the miracle for the car maker. As per various reports, the petrol Pulse is powered by 1.2 L, three cylinder 80 bhp engine snatched from Nissan Micra.

In all there are three variants of the Pulse small premium car. The entry level trim which is the Pulse RxE has driver airbag, power steering and air conditioning as standard while the next trim Pulse RxL that is price just Rs 74,000 more than the entry level car has power windows and music system. The top model Pulse RxZ has both driver and passenger airbags, air conditioning with climate control, start stop button, Anti-Lock Braking System and a variety of other features. The booking for the Pulse Petrol have started with the launch and all the dealers are taking bookings for the new Renault car.
