Renault starts bookings of Lodgy MPV, launch expected in April 2015
Renault India, the Indian arm of French car maker Renault Motors has started the booking of its keenly awaited MPV Lodgy in Indian car market at the down payment of Rs. 5,000 favoring the rumors of MPV to be launched sometimes during the month of April 2015 in Indian car market. After launch MPV will compete against recently launched on Honda Mobilio, Maruti Suzuki Swift Ertiga and other MPV’s in segment. It is speculated to be offered with price tag varying between Rs. 8 lakh and Rs. 11 lakh.
Mechanically Lodgy would be offered with 1.5 litre dCi four cylinder diesel engine with two engine power tunes one 85 PS and 110 PS similar to its sibling Duster. Engine boosting the power of 85 PS will be mated with five speed transmission system and will deliver the fuel efficient performance of 22 kmpl while the engine boosting the power of 110 PS will return an average of 20 kmpl and offered with six speed transmission system.
Dimensionally Lodgy has length of 4498 mm, width of 1751mm, wheel base of 2810 mm and height of 1697 mm. Talking about the features that would be offered in MPV although nothing has been so for revealed officially by company sources but according to reports it will bestow features like touchscreen infotainment system supporting connectivity with USB, AUX, steering mounted control, reverse parking sensors, rear parking view camera, dual colored interiors and many more comprehensive features.
