Renault to Introduce Generation Next Scala with New Symbol
Compact SUV Duster and hatchback Kwid have been the game changers for the French car maker Renault in Indian car market. But, the car maker do not wants to restrict its journey on the shoulders of both these two alluring vehicles. It is reported that the car maker is making a new strategy for launch of its upcoming products which would become as the new symbol of company in Indian car market. The first product to receive this massive change is expected to be the luxurious sedan Scala which in its initial stage emerged as the bestselling vehicle by the company in India, but later recorded dip in sales figures due to technically advanced cars launched by its strong rivals.

Talking about the changes that would be introduced in the generation next Scala will include company’s signature design philosophy. The front fascia will bestow the headlight pattern outsource from the existing Duster followed by newly developed bumper continuing the conventional grille at the centre. This succeeds in giving the new Scala a sportier look. As far as changes those are witnessed from the pictures revealed in cyber world reveal simple rear, without any noticeable change.

Talking about the powertrains, nothing has been so far disclosed by the car maker, however it is speculated that the generation next Scala will continue the existing engines of 1.6 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engine with improved engine generation feature, similar to compact SUV Duster. The transmission duties are reported to ruled by six speed and five speed manual gear transmission systems respectively along with AMT system on top end trims.
As the new Scala will be the first product by the company under the flagship of its Renault Symbol strategy, it is speculated to be launched with a new name and at competitive price.
