Revamped Honda Amaze launched with starting price of Rs. 5.29 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi)
Japanese car maker Honda Motors has launched the refreshed version of its best selling compact sedan Amaze in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 5.29 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) for its base variant. The compact sedan has undergone enormous cosmetic surgeries on both exteriors and interiors along with option of new colours. It would be interested to know that going through the introduction of recent tax policy car maker also hiked the prices of facelift Amaze.
Mechanically the new Honda Amaze remains unchanged and continues same 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol engine boosting the power of 87 bhp and torque of 109 Nm and diesel variant adorning 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine developing the power of 99 bhp and torque of 200Nm as offered in outgoing version of Amaze. Both the engines are mated with five speed manual and CVT transmission system in petrol variant. The manual gear transmission system in petrol delivers an average of 17.8 kmp while the CVT delivers an average of 18.1 kmpl. The diesel variant offers an average of 25.8 kmpl.
Talking about the cosmetic changes offered in new Amaze on the exteriors it bestows the refreshed front fascia comprising of broaden single chrome garnished grille, smoked headlamp cluster. The front bumper also receives refreshed looks with enlarged air-intakes giving Amaze completely a new look. On the rear it gets newly developed tail lamps and boot opener, the side profile however continues to be same. Inside the cabin it receives newly developed centre console with aluminium garnished inserts with piano black finish. Company has however continued dual tone color treatment of beige and black color followed with stylish three spoke steering wheel and gear shift knob. The air conditioner vents have been give square shaped look.
