Rolls-Royce unveils a new variant of Ghost sedan priced initially at INR 3.05 crore

Britain based Ultra luxury car manufacturing brand; Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, has unveiled a new variant in its Ghost model line-up. The premium car is tagged with a starting price of whopping INR 3.05 Crore and is targeted towards the rapidly cultivating culture of luxury car market in India.

The car named as The Ghost- Extended Wheelbase, comes powered by a gigantic 6.6L petrol engine, which will be presented in the nation’s auto market very soon.

Rolls-Royce India Business Development Head- Mr. Herfried Hasenoehrl stated that the requirement of the quality luxury cars in India is nurturing and as the demand is in the initial stage the British car company wants to strike the auto market with the unveiling of the new Ghost car model.

Mr. Herfried Hasenoehrl who is specially appointed to look after business in India said that the company expects that every third car that is sold out by Rolls-Royce to be the new Ghost Extended Wheelbase, but he did not reveal any sales target of the company. He added that company is working to expand its network in the auto industry in India.

The luxury car giant believes that though the potential of luxury sedans lies in the nation’s car market but there a very few dealership takers of the Rolls-Royce badge, and the concern arises there.

The company eyes India as a chief market in Asia, and as a result is always looking to enhance its reach in distribution. Last year the company made sales of around 80 cars in India, which is a great feat achieved. Currently the ultra-luxury carmaker has only two dealerships across the country with one in the commercial capital Mumbai and the other in the national capital Delhi. In India, the ultra-luxury giant sells the Phantom and the initial variant of Ghost.
