Shining New Ford Fiesta 2011 sedan launch

Tomorrow is the day Ford India will finally unwrap its new Ford Fiesta Sedan of the C-Segment. Though this new Ford Fiesta sedan has already been showcased at the Fiesta Café at citywalk mall in saket, New Delhi and at Fiesta first drive experience, Bangalore it will be interesting to see the new car’s launch and finally all the features that we have been waiting to see in this model. Before its release let’s discuss its several features.

Firstly about the engines. The new Ford Fiesta will be available to the customers in both petrol and diesel options. The Petrol engine would be 1.5 Liter, 108 Bhp Ti-VCT. The fuel capacity of the engine has been reduced specifically on purpose from its earlier 1.5 litre to increase the mileage of the car. Ford India claims that the car would be very fuel efficient. ARAI has also certified 17KMPL mileage for the Ford Fiesta petrol version. The model also comes with duel variable valve timing.

Now talking about the diesel engine (TDCI) the diesel engine is around 90 Bhp with an intercooler and a fixed turbocharger. The diesel engine has been designed in such a way that it is expected to give the maximum fuel economy in this class. The 1.5 litre engine is certified to give 23.5 KMPL. Some of the other exciting features would also include voice control and cruise control which have been introduced for the first time in this segment.

The Ford Fiesta which is equipped with power steering is expected to the same level of excellent feedback that was received by the Ford Fiesta Classic’s hydraulic power steering. This is also one of the major positive content in this model along with its increased fuel economy.

With this great preview and also having seen some other fantastic features Ford Fiesta seem to have given a lot to this car to give it enough features to compete with the Hyundai car Fluidic Verna that provided large number of variants. Each engine option is known to come with 4 variants namelyStyle, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+. Also ABS, EBD, airbags and tilt steering are some of the other standard features present in the all new Ford Fiesta.

If we talk about the variants they have been well planned out and the variants have been given enough features that make these models great value for money. Alloy wheels are missing in the base variant. Cruise control, voice control, Bluetooth features and leather wrapped steering are available only in the titanium + models which differentiate the base model from the high end models.
